Cap Low Screws Metric

Holo-Krome branded socket cap low screws, in alloy steel with a tensile strength of 10.9, and finished with black oxide. Manufactured in the USA, Holo-Krome are high quality screws, similar to Unbrako, with precision 3A threads for greater clamping force. The fillet between the head and the body is closely controlled for maximum fatigue strength. Similar to DIN 7984, socket cap low head screws are designed to be used in applications where the head height needs to be limited. The reduced head height and therefore more shallow socket depth, means that the preload cannot be as high as for standard socket head cap screw (see data sheet).

Similar to the DIN 912 socket cap screw but with a lower head height and smaller hex drive, the DIN 7984 is used where space is limited. This range is generally manufactured with a partial thread beyond a certain length and nominal diameter combination, but occasionally some stock may include a fully threaded shank.
