A4-80 Stainless Steel Hexagon Bolts Metric

Hex head bolts are tightened with a spanner, a ratchet or a socket. The structure of a hex head bolt allows for a greater torque load to be applied to the joint over most other drive types. Hex head bolts are probably the most common type of threaded fastener and are available in many types of material and strengths for different applications.

Fastener Material Key
A2	A2 Stainless Steel- Also known as grade 304 or 18/8. A general purpose grade of stainless steel.
A4	A4 Stainless Steel - Also known as grade 316 or 18/8/3. A higher corrosion resistant, marine grade of stainless steel.
A4-80	A4-80 Stainless Steel - Identical corrosion resistance to A4-70 but with a higher tensile strength equivalent to that of 8.8 high tensile steel.
A5	A5 Stainless Steel - A special stainless steel, also known as 316Ti and 1.4571. Similar to A4 but stabilised with titanium. Popularly employed in the chemical industry.
Brass	Brass - Offers an attractive, corrosion resistant finish.
BZP-10.9	Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Class 10 High Tensile Steel - A high strength non-stainless grade for screws and bolts, with a basic level of corrosion resistance.
BZP-8.8	Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Class 8 High Tensile Steel - The general purpose high tensile grade for screws and bolts, with a basic level of corrosion resistance.
Duplex	Duplex Stainless Steel 1.4462 - A type of stainless steel which has greater corrosion resistance than A4 / 316 and a high tensile strength of minimum 700 N/mm2. Also known as 318LN.
GV-8.8	Hot Dip Galvanised Steel Class 8.8 High Tensile - High tensile non-stainless carbon steel with a thick zinc plating, offering a high level of corrosion resistance for the outdoors.
Nylon	Plastic (Nylon Polyamide) - A tough lightweight plastic, strong at low temperatures, with excellent resistance to chemicals, and features favourable sliding friction behaviour.
ZnFlk-10.9	Organic Zinc Flake Coated Class 10 High Tensile Steel - A higher tensile non-stainless grade for screws and bolts. Coated with superior mechanically applied zinc with corrosion resistance lasting 480 hours in the salt spray test.
ZnFlk-12.9	Organic Zinc Flake Coated Class 12 High Tensile Steel - A higher tensile non-stainless grade for screws and bolts. Coated with superior mechanically applied zinc with corrosion resistance lasting 480 hours in the salt spray test.

The most common type of fastener, a hex head bolt is designed to be tightened with a standard spanner or ratchet and socket. Popularly used in all assemblies, a standard hex bolt is a staple across the world. Manufactured to ISO 4014 or DIN 931, and therefore includes an unthreaded section of the shaft. A hex drive permits a greater torque load to be applied to the joint over most other drive types. Please note that due to manufacturing limitations, all nylon variants of these items are only "similar to" and not "in absolute accordance with" the standard specified.

Commonly referred to as a setscrew or simply as a bolt. The fully threaded DIN 933 or ISO 4017 should not be confused with its DIN 931 equivalent. A standard spanner or ratchet is typically used to fit this product. Used for decades on all types of assembly throughout the world. As with the DIN 931 hex bolt, the hex drive allows a higher torque to be applied. All parts are to DIN 933 except where shown otherwise. The alternative standard ISO 4017 specifies differences in head dimensions for M10, M12 and M14 thread diameters from DIN 933. Please note that due to manufacturing limitations, all nylon variants of these items are only "similar to" and not "in absolute accordance with" the standard specified.
