Hex Socket D Shackle

This product guide contains the specification for D shackles featuring a hex driven pin, which are a series of standard parts available from Westfield Fasteners.

Product Description

A4 stainless steel D shackle with hex socket in the pin bolt. As with other shackle designs, these items are used for connecting ropes, wire ropes and chains. D shackles allow for a quick exchange of connections, and the hex socket type, which screws in flush, creates a smoother connection which is less likely to snare, and in addition gives greater security.

These D Shackles are forged, making them strong and loadable. Please refer to the working load limits and the breaking load weights in table 1. Figure 1 and table 1 below also show the dimensions for sizes from M5 to M16.
