DIN 467 - Knurled Thumb Nuts, Low Type

This product guide contains the specification for metric Thumb Nuts, Low Type, a series of standard parts available from Westfield Fasteners. The basis of this specification is the DIN standard DIN 467.

Product Description

Low profile knurled thumb nuts, designed for hand tightening and loosening. Generally used for manual adjustment and for quick and easy assembly. The low profile keeps the nut close to adjoining surface, with the wide knurled diameter of the nut helping to make adjustments more precise. Low profile thumb nuts are also known as thin or low type thumb nuts.

Scope of the DIN Standard.

DIN 467 specifies the scope of the design and properties for the low type knurled nut for sizes M1 to M10. Table 1 below defines the overall dimensions & tolerances.
