Nut conforming to DIN 439 but with Fine Thread Pitch. Also known as a half nut, thin nut, or jam/lock nut. Typically fitted with a spanner or ratchet with socket, often used in pairs in a nut locking arrangement. A popular nut type, with a more unusual Fine Thread Pitch for when more thread engagement is required. Must be used in conjunction with the appropriate Fine Thread Pitch bolts or screws.
