Dome Nuts

Known in the UK as Dome Nuts these are a popular fixing used in applications where aesthetics are important, offering an attractive finish. Dome nuts ensure a smooth snag-free surface, helping to protect both the fixing and any foreign body that may come into contact. Also known as Acorn Nuts, particularly in the USA, the metric threaded nuts are manufactured to DIN 1587. Also available is a prevailing torque Dome Nyloc Nut manufactured to DIN 986. Available in UNF, UNC aswell as Metric sizes. USA versions to ASME B18.2.2.

A2
A2 Stainless Steel - also known as grade 304 or 18/8. A general purpose grade of stainless steel.
A4
A4 Stainless Steel - also known as grade 316 or 18/8/3. A higher corrosion resistant, marine grade of stainless steel.
BRASS
Brass - offers an attractive, corrosion resistant finish.
BZP
Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Steel - non-stainless standard steel grade offering a basic level of corrosion resistance.
Nylon
Nylon (polyamide) - a tough lightweight plastic, tough at low temperaures, with excellent resistance to chemicals and features a favourable sliding friction behaviour.
