Fastener Material Key
A2	A2 Stainless Steel - Also known as grade 304 or 18/8. A general purpose grade of stainless steel.
A4	A4 Stainless Steel - Also known as grade 316 or 18/8/3. A higher corrosion resistant, marine grade of stainless steel.
A5	A5 Stainless Steel - A special stainless steel, also known as 316Ti and 1.4571. Similar to A4 but stabilised with titanium. Popularly employed in the chemical industry.
Alum	Aluminium - Aluminium is a lightweight, strong and corrosion resistant material. As the temperature lowers, aluminium actually increases in strength. It is also non-magnetic, carries a current and does not spark easily.
Brass	Brass - Offers an attractive, corrosion resistant finish.
Bronze	Phosphor Bronze - Attractive orange metal normally used in conjunction with brass fasteners.
BZP	Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Steel - Non-stainless standard steel grade offering a basic level of corrosion resistance.
BZP 300HV	Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Steel with 300HV hardness - Non-stainless standard steel grade offering a basic level of corrosion resistance, but with 300HV hardness.
Copper	Copper Alloy - Copper has good corrosion resistance and high tensile strength, allowing it to withstand high-pressure and high temperature conditions. It is a highly ductile and malleable material, enabling copper washers to create tighter seals and withstand vibration better than steel. Copper also provides excellent thermal and electrical conductivity.
Duplex	Duplex Stainless Steel 1.4462 - A type of stainless steel which has greater corrosion resistance than A4 / 316 and a high tensile strength of minimum 700 N/mm2. Also known as 318LN.
GV	Hot Dip Galvanised Steel - The thick galvanised zinc coating provides a very good corrosion resistance for any non-stainless steel.
Nylon	Plastic (Nylon Polyamide) - A tough lightweight plastic, strong at low temperatures, with excellent resistance to chemicals, and features favourable sliding friction behaviour.
ZnFlk	Organic Zinc Flake Coated Steel - Steel parts coated with superior mechanically applied zinc with corrosion resistance lasting 480 hours in the salt spray test.
ZnFlk 300HV	Zinc Flake coated steel with 300HV hardness - Coated with superior mechanically applied zinc with corrosion resistance lasting 480 hours in the salt spray test, and with 300HV hardness.

A toothed or perforated washer usually employed in electrical connections such as battery terminals, but can also be used in assemblies to help prevent loosening. This variant includes teeth on the external diameter and therefore accords with DIN 6798A.

Rectangular Section Spring Washers DIN 127 in Phosphor Bronze

Spring washer designed to help prevent loosening of bolted joints under vibration. Also know as a Split Lock Washer and a Split Ring Washer. This type has a rectangular section and is generally used on hexagon head bolted fixings, manufactured to DIN 127. Where even distribution of load on the mating surface is the primary requirement an alternative spring washer or a flat washer would be a more suitable solution. In addition Spring Washers do not offer protection for the material being fastened.
